#502; 18.4' x 8.1' VBB
Lineage:
This 18' V bottomed, blunt bowed, design kit was derived from the initial Sound Marine version (#260), but with notable differences. Developed for White Metal Welding/One3 Powerboats the usage was slightly different as was the anticipated weight loading. Accordingly, while we maintained similar deadrise angles we tweaked the bottom and chine shape to provide for the change in weight loading which was a nearly 1' shift forward versus the original Sound Marine design. The overall dimensions are nearly identical, with one difference being that this design carries a 38" bow flat, 10" less than the Sound Marine version.
This particular design has been built by One3 Powerboats with radiused transom corners and with hard transom corners. The NC cutting kit is available with or without fuel tank, console, shelter, leaning post, push knees, etc., as well as other customizations.
To date it has been built with a closed bow, but it is also a candidate for a narrow landing craft bow.
