#326-S, 23.1' x 8.7' Specialty
Lineage:
While carrying our typical forward steep sections, this hull design has some unusual shaping aft (reduced deadrise and widening chine flats) as part of tweaking to handle a large variable load of sewage. The result is a hull that floats, runs and trims well throughout the range of loadings. Thus far, it has been used in harbor pump out applications, but the design lends itself to other applications with similar loading characteristics. Numerous of this and closely related designs have been built by Sound Marine & Chester Boat Works.
As with most of our single engine, V designs the keelson is cut with an integral skeg aft, which improves tracking and handling. On twin engine designs we find that this skeg is not necessary, but with single engines on modified V hulls the skeg balances well with our relatively deep forefoot.
