#295, 26.6' x 8.5' Sampling/Survey
Lineage:
This 26' design kit was developed for Viking Welding for a water sampling application with the U.S. EPA. The bottom shape is a distinct departure from our norm as a result of working with the EPA representatives to lower wake and generally enhance handling & stability at very low sampling speeds. With that in mind, we tucked the run of the inner chine considerably inboard over its aft 20% and also gave the keel run considerable rise as it runs aft. The result is both a smaller transom "slab", which eases the stern wave, and increased initial stability.
